Presidential Service Awards

Every year volunteers are awarded a nationally recognized Presidents Volunteer Service Award. This is the 2nd year that the Roundhouse has been involved in this wonderful opportunity. The awards are tallied by totaling number of hours volunteers have worked since the start of their volunteering.

Congratulations to the volunteers who have earned the Presidents Service Award pin. Please review the list in the lab and if your name is on it, see a staff member for your pin.  (This award looks great for college applications!)

Can you post RHA flyers at your school?

If you think you can post up or bring volunteer flyers to your school to spread the word about volunteer opportunities at the Roundhouse, please email or talk to Lauren and she will give you flyers and hours!

Aquarist notes

Due to the hot weather and chiller malfunction, the sunstars have been released. However, we have new sunstars that will be arriving shortly.

There are many new animals throughout the aquarium that Eric and Valerie have collected (with special collectors permits). There are new sunstars, decorator crabs giant sea cucumbers etc. If you do not know an animal, please ask a staff member what it is!

If you are doing a brine feeding and spill, please clean up your spill with a damp rag.
